Problem with naming the car...any help appreciated

**moved from Mustang news/discussion...**

I really need your input on this one.

Boy do I look stupid now...
So if you check out my sig, you can see my new car. Given the (eventual) black and red combo (Red leather interior, and I am putting dual 12" red stripes on it), I could not think of a more bad@ss name than BLAKJAK for my car. I just received a vanity plate with BLAKJAK on it from my DMV.

This all occurred before I conducted all my research, as it were. I am finding out now that apparently Roush has a BlackJack variant of the 4.6L S197 with a ROUSHcharger and 420+ hp. Here, I will be picking up my new 2008 GT completely stock under the hood in hopefully just a few days.

My question to all of you is, is my "infringement" on Roush bad enough that I have to abandon all Blackjack related themes on my car (removal of the vanity tag/playing cards hanging from the mirror/other goofy crap like that)? Or do not enough people know about the Roush BlackJack variant that it should not matter that much?

If I tout my car as "BLAKJAK," will the mustang-educated shun me and my stock GT for not being a real "BlackJack"?

thanks guys.

i see your points. the thing is, the feelings my car inspires in me have me qualifying it as an "it" rather than a "she." I think for any other color, this might not be the case, but for me, a black car is more cold and machine-like than any other color. it's still my baby, just not my baby girl.

I seriously doubt anyone is going to "shun" you. But if you are that concerned about it, throw a Roushcharger in it and Roush bodykit on it and call it a day.

Most people and I would think most mustang owners don't even know what a Roush Black Jack is...

...and don't worry about what other people think.. if someone is so concerned about your vanity plate they obviously have no life.

keep it and move on.
