5 speed = out of date?

RE: 5 speed = out of date?
when I say I have an automatic I don't really feel a need to quantify how many speeds it has!
Real Mustang owners will know how many gears the auto or manual has.
I only wonder how the import owners handle this sort of mess, what with the paddle-shifting or no shifting and all!

RE: 5 speed = out of date?
I ordered my premium package Mustang GT to be built in late September 05'. I remember the sales man going over every single possible option, including "do you want a 5 speed maunual or 6 speed manual? " At the time I said 5, with high n sight now I wish I would have said 6. I can't remember how much extra that option would have been. Anybody remember?? Added cost option of a 6 speed Mustang GT? Thanks, Erik

Honestly did not see that you referenced that earlier today and I didn't know that you questioned the term since day 1 as I'm a relatively newer member here since I got my Mustang about half a year ago. Wierd coincindence that we got on this in the same day.
Also, never thought I'd USE the word "anachronism" on a car forum. Don't know about the CVT thing though, at least I hope they don't catch on like that. Just can't get used to not feeling the shifts...

No biggy. The OP used the term like a badge of honor, as if to say the autos were somehow making everyoneless of a man. It turned right around and bit him in the ***.

i believe the added cost would be around $13000 or so for the GT500 upgrade
This is of course without dealer Mark-Up[:@]

Sort of like a salesman asking "Do you want the 4.6 or the 5.4?"

To me a 5 spped means a stick, auto mean auto

It does to me too. Just something to bitch about on here. What else we going to do? We've trashed Obammy in Off Topic, we have completely rebuilt everyones cars on here and fixed every single thing that could ever go wrong.
