So you finally swing that bat and got the gears huh warmachine? With all that number crunching you were doing I didn't think you'd ever get them in . Glad to hear you're really pleased with them. I like my also, much easier to find a gear now. Hell, it doesn't even really matter what gear I'm in now with the 4.10's.

Take the OP's recommendation and start planning for a one-piece driveshaft as the next mod. I totally agree. The lightweight shaft will shave another .2-.3 off your et. Together the gears/shaft should shave 1/2 second. They work really well together. My car pulls thru the rpm's effortlessly now.

It appears the dealer rates are all over the board. I thought they (Ford Dealers) all had to use the same "Ford R&R" manual to get a specific hour rate and not charge anymore. My dealer told me 8 hours at $550, the shop that is going to do it (next week I hope) said 4 hours at $200. I don't think the Ford mechanics like to do it and just pick a number out of their butts and add in a personal bonus. I personally would like a Dealer to do it so there are no arguments over warranty.
