Tape, slice, WTF!!! Plug and Play. Easy. 5 minutes maybe. WebElectrics are plug and play too.
Why not buy from a sponsor of MF? Helps the site. Helps the sponsor.

The 'splicing and taping' method should only be done if you
SOLDER the connections then seal them off with 2 stage
heatshrink like Ford does.
Tape has no place in modern day automotive wiring harnesses.

I wound up using the splice kit and you could not tell it was not done at the factory. The black electrical tape I used is exactly the same as what ford uses and my wrap is a little tighter then the factory wrap. If anything, my work looks better the factory job.

That's funny. I thought the same thing and yet Ford used Electrical tape to wrap our entire wiring harnass in the S197. It looks so cheap.

2 stage heatshrink to avoid water intrusion into the wire between
the conductor and the insulation jacket.

i just installed meter4it sequentials today. took me an hour and a half (getting the tools together took a half hour cause i just recently moved to ny). i had to cut and splice which i did not want to do but it was the only way cause i get the option of using chase. everything works great now. does anyone have problems with the meter4it?
