Default Found Water In My Trunk! (wtf!)

okay, i dont have any pics but this is where i found the water...you stand in front of your truck, open it, look right behind the passenger side tail light...the carpet that is against the tail light plastic trim, pull that up...then you kinda move the interior panel carpet that is next to the tail light and you will see a little "cubby hole" that goes down towards the ground...i found about 2 cups ofwater at the bottom of this cubby hole..i was like "wtf" because i always keep my trunk closed...anyone else have this?

Climb in the trunk with a flash light, have a buddy spray the garden hose on the car and figure out where its coming in at. It could just be a small piece of weatherstrippingthat is out of place. Otherwise : stealership[

I know when I wash my car, water will get into the trunk. It will be on the under side of the trunk lid. I aways open the trunk after washing and wipe in down. Just a thought.

I've got the same problem, I think it's coming in through the side marker light. Let me know what you find.

Did you replace your tail lights or for any reason pull them out. There are like little rubber things that go on before you put the nut on (they are crappy little things that always come apart when you take the nut off) But maybe you didn't put that back on there and water is leaking in from there. Sounds about the right place.

I had the exact same problem with mine. The source of mine was a seam down on the fender that seperated and was letting water in but not out. I just threw some silicone sealant on there and I was good to go...

hmmm i might have to check the seam down the fender and see what its like.....

i found the water b/c i needed to remove my tail lights....the rubber sealers or whatever were still in place but they are crappy...i dont think thats the source though, it might be the fender seam, we will see.....

considering that there is a hole already in the bottom of the trunk... just remove the tape covering it & let it drain out that!

Did you remove your rear spoiler at some point?
