new hood...need advice

RE: new hood...need advice
+10 to what J said, one ofthe reasons I went with the true fiber myself.
I vote 3rd . I seen this hood in person at the orlando PRI car show, they had 2 stangs you could race on a dyno. I think they were shelbys actually and they both had it. It does look very sleek and as if the car comes with it.

I have the TruFiber GTS hood and love it. Looks sleek and mean. My only word of caution about the TruFiber hood is the body work. The fiberglass is real thin so the body work is sort of a pain in the ***, but worth every second of work spent in the end.
Tombstang, Every time I see your sig picture I think I'm looking at my own car, minus the blacked out headlights. Mean looking ride bro, love it.

I would AVOID all TruFiber products at all costs. There is a reason that they cost much less than the other hoods. I bought a GTS hood and took it to several great body shops who would not work on it because they said they had had problems with them before. Finally a dealership took it, worked on it for 70+ hours, discussed over and over again with TruFiber, and finally gave up. The hood continually bubbled up when the sun hit it. That is not a prep problem, that's a materials problem. I am not the only one to have serious problems with TruFiber, and they are doing NOTHING for me. I had to eat the hood cost, the rental car cost of when the shop had it, and I had to pay the shop something. I am out $1200 and cannot put the hood on my car because it is a piece of junk.
Be careful, and I would go with a more reputable company like Cervinis.

Also, you realize that heat extractor covers are not water proof. If you live where it rains your coil packs will get wet, also if you have an open air filter from a cold air kit or a blower, the ram air design does not keep water away in the rain. Poorly designed.
