Default DE-TUNED AND HATING IT!!!

I took my stang in the other day to have the restraint control recall issue fixed. As such, I took off my C&L intakeand de-tuned the car. All I can say is [:'(]. I can't believe how sluggish it feels. Can't re-install the performance tunes as there was no factory code displayed during the de-tune. I don't know if they reflashed the cpu... Looks like I'll be buying a new set of tunes I guess...

I had that recall done. You shouldn't have bothered taking the CAI off, or removing the tune. They flash a seperate module. Nothing to do with the PCM (Powertrain Control Module)!!!

BTW What tuner do you have? I've flashed back to stock from custom tune (SCT2 X Cal) and vice versa. Never a problem.

That blows. I thought that they reflashed a different drive like JimsGT said. I did not detune or take out my CAI either...had no issues. Either way.....I have driven a 06 GT w/o a tune and it does feel sluggish.

I de-tuned my '06 before getting the airbag recall. When I got it back I re-installed my 93 octane Brenspeed tune, no problem.

I had my airbag recall done yesterday also while in for an oil change. No problem with my tune ... supercharger and all ... You could have just left everything one since they don't touch the ECM.

Two totally different computers and systems. No need to remove the stuff and de-tune.
