Default American Muscle Rim quality

Has anyone had any problems with what it looks like the clear coat peeling on the rims? haven't had my Anthracite 18 x 10 DD bullitts for that long and the passengers side clear coat is peeling in several spots on the rim. But only on the passengers side. If anyone can give me any advice that would be great. I will get some pictures up soon.

Well, the clearcoat on one of my 18x10 DD bullits did exactly the same thing on the rear passenger wheel. I thought maybe someone had spit tobacco juice on it, or maybe a renegade dog had been peeing on it. I didn't want to deal with the hassle of unmounting the tire and trying for a warranty replacement, so I just used some paint stripper to remove the clearcoat and put a thick coat of polish on the rim. It still looks great after 20,000 miles, and the clearcoat on the other three rims is still fine.

just an idea, but it worked for me -

good luck

They have a section on this website with a representative from their company. Post a thread in there, or PM AMNick and see what happens.[&:]

for the most part, i think the only problem with american muscle wheels i heard are the weight. they're heavy.

I have the black 18' DDs, about 7000 miles on them. No issues. I agree they are too heavy though.
