The square that you are talking about is for the Convertible top switch.

Nice writeup though, looks GREAT!

Great looking setup. Too bad us vert owners can't use this location for a homelink

I was hopping not to spend the 200-400 bucks that these things go for...

Any other thoughts on where to install a 20 buck home link on a convertible?

POWER IT WITH THE HIGH BEAM WIRE AND TAPE THE BUTTON DOWN.
STASH IT BEHIND THE DASH OUT OF VIEW.
FLASH THE HIGH BEAMS AND THE GARAGE DOOR GOES UP OR DOWN...
Theives cant see the door opener so they cant steal/use it to
gain access to your garage.
Only you know that a flash of the high beams opens the ol garage door.
Most cars will flash to pass when the turn signal lever is pulled towards you
even with the ignition off....


Old School trick...
