then I have no vapor trap... I did this the day I got the car... seemed to me if there was something after the filter, I woulda felt it... makes me wonder if ANY drop-top has the vapor trap.... and also makes me wonder WTF Ford was thinking when they put it in...

I pulled mine off this weekend.... no trap!... I was glad of that, I didn't have to bother removing it.
I did notice ford didn't bother completeing the intake tube to the bottom of the gril.. they just left ahole on the filter box drawing air coming up the front/side of the front fender. I'm thinking about making a tube to draw air from the lower bumper intake up to the air box. My 69 Torino Cobra GT didn't have the shaker - instead it had a hose that ran from the air filter down to a slot in the airdam under the front bumper to "ram" air into the carb intake.
