I'll be keeping mine for a loooooong time. I plan to keep it 10 years or more. I'm not sure if the style can be any better than it is now. I do wish I had a glass top. Sat in one at the dealer and it was hot but really neat. Hey folks, better hold on to and ride in these Mustangs now because in the future, it's all going to be crappy electric cars and such with 50 hp and design for aerodynamics. Have fun in these cars while you can. This is the nicest design Mustang ever.

I plan on keeping mine for a long time, not to say I won't look at the new one as an addition!

This will stay in my garage forever, because I know if I get rid of it, 30-40 years down the road I will regret it.
Eventually i'll just buy another mustang. It probably won't be till the body style after this next one that is coming up though.

Ditto...

I had a 66 fastback with a 289 (Signal Flare Red) and a 70 with a 351. Both were well abused...but were ripe for a once over. When I left home for the Army, I had my mom sell them for pennies ont he dollar...I think I got $3000 between the two of them. I probably blew it on beer and hotwings.

Dumb, dumb, dumb...

This 08 will stay in my garage forever. It is my replacement for my 66 I should have kept. I get poked at by the 8 guys for getting a 6er...but a) this 4.0 is faster than my early classics and b) I fell in love with it as it rolled off the truck. This is MY car for quite some time.

I guess if I get the absolute need for speed, I will join the X club...but for now...I just love it. As my daily driver, I get to arrive at work with a grin on my face and arrive home in the afternoon without a care in the world. I programmed to GPS to "avoid" the Interstate and make my trip on the back roads with the windows down and the Sirius on 15 (Classic Rewind). Is this what happens when you turn 40?

I really feel what I bought is my old 66 with reliability, comfort (love those heated seats) and as much or more style than the 66. I have a 66 that I can drive to work every day and I NEVER have to turn a wrench.

I had a 66 289 coupe when I was in high school, I sold it when I was in college for a 4 banger to get better mileage, and because the body was rusting out. My 07 GT is my replacement. Ditto on the better reliability and ride, doesn't hurt that it is much faster too. Mine goes in the barn over the winter, so I hope to be burning rubber when I'm an old geezer.

I'll be holding on to mine. Can't see any reason to get rid of it. I've become rather attached.

Reasons for me to not get the new body style:

1. Vowed to keep ours forever, got married in that car!
2. There is a likelihood the restyle is ugly as sin, since the S197 looks great to begin with
3. Money...
4. Challenger R/T (flame suit on)
