TCI StreetFighter Torque Converters...
What have you heard about them? Do you have one, if so, what is your review on it? I've been hearing good and bad things about them so I'm not sure what to do. Let me know your opinions please...thanks.

Yeah, I've been hearing that Precision Industries (PI) has a really good TC as well. It's just that $750 bucks is a pain in the *ss.
I have a guy who will sell me a TCI StreetFighter (3000 stall) brand new for $300 bucks!!

I have had my 3000 stall TCI convertor installed for a month it has very smooth shifts and drives good at normal speeds. I have not heard of anybody having any problems with TCI . If you can get it for $300 you should but you better make sure it's not a stock one with a sticker on it. This was one of the best mods. I have done to date. As stated before a set of DR is definitely needed. I bought a set of Mickey Thompsons a week after the install.

$500 install plus $300 TCI converter = $800 Not bad.
On the other hand...
$500 install plus $750 PI Stallion converter = $1,250 ($450 in savings)
The only thing is that the Stallion is made of billet material (or something like that). Also, is there a difference in LOCK-UP and NON LOCK-UP versions? I don't know what that means.

I on the other hand am just trying to figure out my best bet with a $300 TCI converter dangling over my head (brand new). I can get that and sacrifice a little quality or pay up to $800 and get a hardcore converter. The thing is that I'm not running big numbers so I might be OK with the TCI. There are not enough people giving me info on the TCI though!!

Don't do it! Get a PI! J/k... by the way, I paid 705 for my PI and install was not but 350. I think you are getting a good deal. I dont know about the quality of the TCI but i've seen that quite a few people are running it. Good luck! (Try to get a better deal on install)!
