Satellite radio in the S197

Hey guys,

I used to have sirius in my grand am gt and im really starting to miss it. I wanna get sirius back in my stang but i dont want the radio just to be stuck on the dashboard. I kinda want it to look like its supposed to be there or hidden somewhere like in the glovebox. Do you guys have any pics of how you mounted your satellite radios so i can get some ideas? Or do you have any suggestions on where it might look good mounted.

Thanks

i would love an avic but its a bit outta my price range right now, plus im kinda looking forward to the portability of a sirius tuner like the stiletto so that i can take it into my house when im not out on the road and listen to it there.

If you have the Shaker 500 radio you can buy a factory Sirius kit for it. It's available at: http://www.oem-auto-accessory.com/ for about $335.

That would def. be the way to go...cheapest and best looking since you don't have a standalone player sitting out somewhere.

I dunno though, i really want the portability aspect of it.

After my car spending a week at the dealer for a Sirius radio fix...I can tell you that satellite module is not plug and play. They had a hard time linking the HU and the sat module.

I am sure it can be done...but it may take some fiddling.

Well, this is how I went, back when I had the Roady XT. One way for having the receiver totally concealed, yet the remote would still change the channel, and one way if I wanted it handy for channel surfing....There is a cupholder adaptor used in the second one....
