Default Cost of a Shortblock install??

Does anyone know how much it would cost to have a shortblock installed?? An average price..I live in Jersey so if anyone knows of a good place let me know. thanks

i have no idea, but i would guesstimate
it between $1800 - $2400.

Its that much i was thinking in the ballpark of 1000 or so give or take...

I was quoted $3000, have to have new gaskets, oil, dyno tune, install time, remove and reinstall engine, prep work, etc....list goes on and on. It'd be a little cheaper to just drop in a forged assembly...even if you get a stroker kit and they machine the block...

I had read that it was cheaper to get the shortblock than a new assembly. I'll call a machine shop tomorrow and find out their price.

it's about $3500 for a forged stroker assembly build with machining of the block (or what I was quoted)....and all these quotes included dyno tuning too...and if you buy the kit from Haney Motorsports for $1695...puts you roughly around $5200...
