Default Pic request - Dk Candy Apple w/ stripes

Hi all!

I will be putting stripes on my 2008 GT soon, and I would like to see what other Dk Candy Apple owners have done. I'm really leaning towards the Baltimore Street Mods superstripe package, but I'm still on the fence about color.

Not long ago, someone posted pics of their car here with black stripes and I fell in love with it. I don't recall who posted them or whose car this is, but here are the pics:

But, after seeing a pic on BSM's site of one with dark gray stripes, I'm thinking of different options. I'm torn between black, dk gray, or possibly even silver stripes. I'm not sure why, but I don't care for the white stripes on this color. I think that white looks amazing on the torch red, but white on the darker red just seems like it is screaming and takes too much away from the rest of the car. And I don't recall seeing any candy apple's with silver stripes either, maybe there's a reason for that...

Anyway, if anyone has some good pics of a candy apple with stripes, I'm interested in seeing them.

Thanks!!

BTW: Here is what I will be starting out with:

I spent months deciding what color stripes to put on my redfire (which is very close to Dark Candy Apple). I finally decided on darker grey metalic stripes that are a factory Ford color. Check out this link:

I was at a open house for one of the dyno shops in my area and saw a roush 427 black on black where the stripes were kind of a powder coated black. I have candyapple red also and am wondering if it would look as good with a red powder coat

I liked the minimalistic look of the black rocker stripes.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. The site where you can mock up stripes is pretty neat.

rands05gt - Thanks for the photos, the dark gray looks real sharp!

Anyone do silver stripes?

That brings up a point I was meaning to ask, but forgot in my original post. Is one type of vinyl stripes, either gloss or matte finish, more susceptible to fade or "chalkiness" than the other? Maybe it's not even a concern with the materials used by BSM or the other well recommended vendors for stripes, I don't know... That goes for color as well, would a black more susceptible to fade than say a silver or gray?

Thanks again!
