I want to buy a Used V6 in a few months and was wondering what anyone can recommend as the best place to get i from:

1. A dealer?
2. Ebay
3. Try and find a private sller

Keep in mind that im in Europe and want it exported so I need a method that I can trust.
Im leaning towards using Ebay as there is the whole feedback rating and the value Ive seen a few on ebay but their reserve price is hardly ever met, hopefully by a few months time sellers will lower their reserve prices. What do you all think?

You're going to need a specialty dealership that ships overseas, or a local (to you) dealer that imports. That pretty much precludes using eBay or a private individual. I would first see if you can find an outfit in Spain that imports vehicles to order. I'm sure it isn't going to be cheap, but it's much less risky that trying to deal with overseas companies or people that you don't know (and who may be out to rip you off). It is VERY difficult to prosecute someone in another country who rips you off on a car deal. The 'net is full of nasty stories about it.

I sold a car about a year ago to a guy that buys used cars in the US and ships them to his brother in Russia to sell. He said they do quite well at it. I imagine there are similar businesses springing up all over the world.

I hear what youre saying, it is more secure to buy from a specialist who will do it all for me. But, I have already found a reputable shipping/transport company and Im sure a ebay seller with a good deal of positive feedback wouldnt try and rip me off... There are businesses in Spain that do it but the cheapest they could get me a standard V6 ($19000 in US) for was €30,000 (around $40,000). Seems silly doesnt it?
