Coincidence...I think not.
My battery died on me yesterday, I figured rather than have Ford put the exact same battery back in it I would buy the replacement. I bought one yesterday with a little more juice 700cca (factory=500cca) so I shoudn't have this problem for a while. The "look up machine" suggested this particular cca's also, so I wonder why Ford went with 500cca. (Cough..Cough...Cheap...Cough). I am also going to be adding a stereo system so the extra juice serves another purpose too.
+1...on turning the radio off.

I had this same problem back in July. I left for two weeks and returned for one day before having to leave again. I went to go move my car to another parking lot and the battery was dead. So a friend of mine jumped it and I went to go get it checked. It was almost drained all the way but the guy who checked it told me to just drive it around for about an hour and let it charge. I haven't had any problems since but Im pretty sure its going to happen again.
