Anyone else tired of shifting?

my stang isn't my dd and i drive mostly highway. When i'm stuck in stop-and-go traffic it can be a pain but i wouldn't give it up. Anytime i think i might want an auto stang, i get in my auto dd and it doesn't take much of holding the wheel and simply giving it gas before i say "boring!" and can't wait to get back into a car that i can really drive.

I've had my manual for a while now. I'm tired of shifting. My car always jerks and is never smooth. It's fast, but I wonder if the automatic with my mods would be just as fast or faster? Can you do a burnout in the autos? I bought my car cause I thought I was gonna race a lot..I race around town but most of the time no one races me. I've only been to the drag strip once so it's kind of pointless to have a manual. Plus stop and go traffic sucks so bad. Anyone else feel this way.
You could also try a short shifter and/or a 1 piece drive shaft...
EDIT:
@Brwn: No teenager is an above average driver, so dude. Haha that includes me.

I love my manual! Just cant see myself owning any auto vehicles. I have to be more "in touch" with the car. I have to be in control. I can see where you are comming from though. Its all personal preference.

i could not, would not, own a stang w/an auto.
i always impress myself when i pull off a smooth start and shift into second. but it's always short lived and the challenge begins anew at the next stop...
just feel so more connected to the car and the experience. it's not just about spacing out and getting from one place to the next, you are always involved in the driving experience.
