i wanted to paint it to match the BMR brace. but i couldn't find that color in high temp paint. so i tried to match the engine cover.

3 coats high temp paint
3 coats high temp clear

i think it came out pretty good, opinions??

What color is that, gold or bronze or something?

StickShifty 08-27-2008 01:34 PM

its gray

i was a little disappointed in the color. the cap of the rattle can matched the engine cover spot on. if i can find a dark gray metallic i will repaint it to match the brace.

Wow that looks nice. When I click on the thread I wasn't expecting it to look that great but WOW it looks good.

This is the risk you run without a color code paint match. It can turn out *close* and thus be somewhat distracting/disappointing. Sometimes it's better to go with a contrasting color, like black or Ford Racing blue. Just a suggestion.

just my opinion but i agree with blike about it looking like a bronzish color....it looks like it has a tannish tinge to it from my computer screen...because of this, it looks like it clashed with your colors with your black bmr brace, silver intake cover, and blue silicone connectors right next to it...if u had a limer, i think it would look better since it has that lime body color behind it...if it were me, id probably redo it with like a type of metallic black with clear....but as for the paint job itself without the color in mind, its a good job
