Default SLP LoudMouth question

Well, I'm bitten...by the mod bug.

I'm suddenly and seriously looking at a LoudMouth setup on my new GT. I also would want some sort of midpipe as well. I've been looking at O/R H and X pipes paired with the LM's, but it's all hit or miss with the sound on youtube.

Does a midpipe really take away from the LMs' ballsy sound? Does anyone have this setup, and if so, how would you gauge the improvement or the worsening of the sound compared to the LM's on the stock pipes?

IMO, the loudmouth axle-back is plenty of sound and from what i've heard, when people toy with it and add the mid-pipe, it is to overwhelming. Here is my writeup of the install:

here's some old clips i have of mine with a bassani catted x-pipe I love the sound. it's loud but mellow when you're just driving stop and go and no drone really going down the highway but sounds nasty as hell when you really get on it:

I used to have slp lm's. They sound great, and are really loud compared to stock. I was very satisfied for about 3-4 months, and wanted more. O/R pipe were not an option as IMO sound horrible with the LM's. I then sold them and added frpp/borla stingers, which were alot quieter but i noticed my torque come back. (I noticed a torque loss with the LM's) ... the day i put the stingers on, i had an o/r x put on... it sounded MEAN!!! It was raw and somewhat raspy, but very mean. Sounded alot like a 2v... then i stumbled upon a great deal on jba lt's with o/r h and had to jump on it. I def love the deep sound of the h pipe at WOT!

Heres some vids of all the set-ups..

LM's with off road IS TOO LOUD AND CRAP. its ok with cats as they smooth out the sound. you need muffs of some sort so tone down and O/R... IMO if you want loud and proud go High flow cats X pyped and straight pypes... boom tubes, Loud mouths, Pypes, moto blues. ect ect ect or no cats X and some kind of glass pack... pypes mid muffs, magnaflows, ect
