Thats pretty clean man, looks nice. I like the Skipper1000 sized woofer box. Probably sounds good and you can still fit a gallon of milk in the trunk, still have a spare tire, and didn't add 200lbs to the weight of the car.

Yes, I like it too. The cheap looking counsol is what I hate most about the new mustang but yours looks good now.

Looks very nice - as a former custom installer these pics make me want to add a REAL sub to my system!

And I agree with you on sound quality. I totally care what it sounds like IN my car, not OUTSIDE for the rest of the world to hear

Thanks guys! Glad everyone likes it! I think it sounds awesome!
Other car is a 97 Saturn with JBL GTO speakers off of JBL amps. Not bad at alll by any measure but this blows that away!

Install was a pain in the a** and I did it my self. Wires into the doors was a nightmare in addition to some other "fun" things.
Speaker grills on the factory subwoofer also was a problem. The trim peice is held on via clips to the grill itself. Heat gun got the grills disconnected from the woofer. Mounting rings for the MB Quarts barely put them in screw range. Not fun at all to figure that one out.

Put six cans of 3m "Proffesional Sound Deadening Spray" in the trunk ($5 a can at Advance Auto). It made a major difference in the road noise! That was one of my big gripes about the mustangs.
Brown Bread - one layer in each door.
Two layers under carpet in the floor board - this made a HUGE difference!!
Brown Bread heavily also in the corner where the sub sits.

Box for AMP and outboard crossovers is built out of MDF carpeted with gray carpet found at O'Riely's auto for $7 $5 for a can of spray adhesive and I had a carpeted box.
It is held into the trunk via two 1/2 in carriage bolts through the bottom of the trunk (sheet metal) and secured with fender washers and nuts. All of this is additionally sealed up and a scrap piece of Brown Bread. Its not going anywhere

As for cost:...... I dont even want to add this up. I know it was more than I intended..but I did have that credit card with no interest and I did get a nice tax refund and it is a new car..........and I did find things on sale.......and I spent way more than I should have But dont regret it
I purchased from mostly authorized dealers.

MB Quarts:
Components, Midbass woofers and the coaxials: About $500.00
Eclipse sub: $119.00
Eclipse amp: $499.99
Headunit $170.00 (crutchfield on sale )
XM stuff $60.00
Box for sub $110.00
Wiring, grounding "block" and interconnects: $70.00
I can not say enough positive things about Knu Conceptz!!!

Note: The MB Quart midbass's weight noticablly more than the factory "subs"
