Default Bad Valve Stems and Hood Struts

Just a quick question or two for all -

has anyone had any problems with blowouts from bad valve stems? I have heard of several cases now, and it is becoming an epidemic. The bad stems are said to be from China, of course.

Also, has anyone had any trouble with MRT Hood Struts? I heard that they eventually cause the Aluminum hood to fatigue and bend. I have them on, but they are a recent addition.

Thanks for any input.

All Four of my stems were bad, causing two flats. Dealer replaced 3 stems and one tire. I got the first tire replaced at Discount Tire because I didn't know all my stems were defective.

Ha. I had all four valve stems bad. They were aftermarket though.
