Ducktails

do they cover stock spoiler holes?

i originally wanted to swap out my pony package spoiler for a roush spoiler, but after seeing a few trans-ams on the road today, i wanna go for a ducktail! what company makes the best one?

uhh, i think the roush spoiler technically is a ducktail...but anyway

i like the GT500 ducktail

and yes, it covers the stock holes

If you're talking about something more like the CDC Ducktail then no it doesn't cover the holes you need to have them filled. I'm not sure about the Cervinis ducktail though...

I had the cervinis c-series ducktail on my 08 gt and it does cover the holes from the factory spoiler. I do reccomend sealing the two factory holes with epoxy prior to installation to prevent water from leaking into the trunk. One downfall of the cervinis ducktail is the fact that you have very limited visibility out of the rear window as the spoiler sits 4 inches tall. For that reason I switched to the roush spoiler which is notched out for rear visibility.

Here's a shot of my CDC. You do have to have the holes filled and the trunk shot, unless you go with the billited hole plates from CDC. I think it was worth it, the Ducktail is clean and understated, and doesn't look like it belongs on a tupperware batmobile, Erik

I have the CDC ducktail and it doesn't cover the holes. When I bought my Agent 47 grille the other day I saw a rear spoiler that I had not seen before. It looks pretty serious like a Nascar setup. It looks like it covers the holes for sure. But I don't know if I like the look. It is different.

That is definitely the cervinis ducktail and if you get that one you definitely better be very careful when backing up.
