v6s vs v8s???
#21
well, i used to have a v6, now i have a v8... so i think v8s are better
seriously, though, i would imagine the reasons why people would buy a v6 mustang is 1) they are cheaper, base cost and insurance 2) they don't care how fast they get to 60.
mileage hasn't really been a factor for me (got the same in my 6 than i do in my 8); i mainly wanted the speed and the sound a v8 has to offer

the main difference: one has a 4.6L v8 and the other a 4.0L v6...
should write about why stangs are better than the 6Lv8 camaro, challenger, or charger.

Yeah that's a pretty bad topic to write about.
Why not go with the topics the previous poster suggested?

interesting debate, being that i am completely biased (v8 5.0, 05 v6)
i bought my v6 for one reason only, i didnt have the money to buy a gt, since i'm only 24 and insurance killed me. I have done the usual mods (front and rear gt bumpers w/dual exhaust and painted rockers and side mirrors) since i really disliked the idea of single muffler mustang and honestly the front bumper looks weak.
putting that aside, now I am able to buy a GT, and i will not. I have friends with GT and with the weight difference from the motor and the way the weight is distributed (meaning the v6 is more balanced) i like the v6 more. Also, GT guys spend money on brakes, i got the rotors from a gt and brake better than them(stock vs stock obviously). The money that i would be spending monthly to pay for the GT I will be using it for a twin turbo kit (its about a $300 monthly difference). maybe making 350+ at the wheels, but I'm not trying to be the fastest nor will i ever be. My car is in no way a gt (no gt badges or poser things like that) but it does look better than a stock v6.

This story was in this magazine and is a good write up for us S197 V6 owners.

1. Supercharged 5.4 Engine
2. 6-speed transmission
3. Exhaust
4. Brakes, front and rear
5. Suspension
6. Rear axles, differential and drive shaft
7. Entire front fascia
8. Entire rear fascia
9. Hood
10. Spoiler
11. Wheels and tires
12. Emblems and stripes
13. Steering wheel
14. Seats
15. Dash
I'm sure there is more but you get my drift.
IMHO, it's a pretty big stretch to compare a sixer or even a GT to a Shelby GT500.

I really think he started this thread just to yank our chains... It's bad enough to compare a 6 to an 8. Even worse to say the 6 is BETTER. Hence my earlier comment alluding to, that if he gets a good grade, he should become a politician.
