Default 18x10 DD bullitts+295/45/18+... 1/4 panel???

On top of having no life left on my rear pads, I'm also rolling on tires with about 15 percent of tread life left on them. I want to upgrade to a bigger size and replace my 18x9's with 18x10's in the rear and get 295/45/18 tires with them. This one guy told me that on older fox body mustangs they had cases where the tire would hit the quarter panel on bumps when the car was lowered and the tire was a larger than stock size. As you can see on the mod list I have FRPP springs and was wondering if I'd experience the same type of problem? I really don't want my car to look like a beater so I thought I'd ask before I get that setup and something happens.

I've had 295/45/18 and lowered with
Eibach ProKit for a couple of weeks now.
No problems so far. *knocks on wood*

I'll try to get pictures of the clearance
tonight.

I have the same rims/tires and lowered with Roush springs and do not have any clearance issues. Not sure how they relate to your springs though.

There is plenty of room on the s-197 for 18x10's and 295/45's.I ran a set of dd's last year and no issue with them. The car is lowered with Steeda Sports, around a 1 1/4 drop. Stay away from the 24mm offset DD's and you should be fine.

As long as the rear end is centered and you have the correct offset for the wheels, you won't have any problems.

The reason previous generations would have that problem is because they would need to have their fender lips rolled to accommodate the tires. Our fender lips are rolled from the factory.
