Default my 2k GT vs a 2006

ok so I have a neighbor that defines a car idiot... but he does have a 2006 gt...
his mods are as follows
K&N intake
dual plane TB
O/R X
SLP LM1

hes bragging that he will take my car out after his cam change... now i'm curious what rhwp will he get with a stg 2 cam...

i'm currently at 330rwhp on motor... and i will be on a D/R

He'll be on street tires...

who "should" come out on top...

i'm kinda not 05+ savy

the cams wont get him much with those mods....he needs a good tune also.

Currently he is maybe pushing 280ish and cams will not add 30 HP even with that setup and tuned probably. I think the older GTs are slightly lighter also.

Bottom line, you win pretty easily IMO

thats what i like to hear...

I told him that this will be his best chance to beat me... cause once the new 5 speed is in and my built rear goes in.... he stands no chance...

besides he just wants the sound... so i assume that he'll lose more bottom end torque/hp than he expects...

You said hes getting stage 2 cams, it depends on what stage 2 cams really. Comp cams will get him the best gains. if its the stage 2 comp cams with springs and phaser limiters you may actually have yourself a race..

If he gets a decent tune, i think he'd stand a chance.

you with the win due to d/rs

if he had them too, with cams & a good tune, I would call it a drivers race
