It's not a rattling, per-se, but it sounds more like a lawn sprinkler. I suggested the injectors, but when I went with the guy for a ride and we parked near a wall he could hear it and he immediately said it sounded like the intake. So I left the car and when I got back to pick it up the service manager told me it was the K&N filter sucking in a lot of air. Apparently they removed the filter, dropped in a factory filter, and the sound went away. So yeah... seems like this is what it was. And it's been going on for about as long as I've had the filter. I just never really made the connection.

Did he show you your noiseless V6
with the stock air filter on it?
Or are you just taking his word for it?
Sounds like girl owner syndrome.
They will tell a girl anything to get rid of her.

if i were you i would get a stock air filter and try it for your self and see what happpens then you will know for sure
