Default Coil over kits

Hey guys i am planning on buying some springs and shocks to lower my car but didn't know if i would be happy with the drop or whether it might be too low. So i am thinking about getting a coilover kit and adjusting the height properly. so, what do you guys think about them? any good kits? how do you adjust the height, is it easy? Thanks

I changed the spring using the Eibach Pro Kit.

I have heard nothing but good things from the H&R coilover kit.

How is the ride with a coilover kit? Compared to Tokico shocks and some springs?

For a little while the ride is just as nice as stock with better handling. Then over time the springs settle and the struts wear out and then it's gets a little harsh. I have been told from people that they can feel every bump in the car.

With lowering and raising the car with one of those kits, won't you have to change camber/caster allll the time? Not to mention the pinion angle...?

if you don't track your car on a regular basis, coil-over kits are a complete waste of money, compared to lowering with standard springs & shocks. if your car's a daily driver, not only will you not feel much difference, in terms of performance, but you'll find that the adjustability option is wasted, as you'll likely never use it.

I just put the H&R coilovers on my car changing from BMR springs with Tokico HP shocks, the ride is stiffer for sure since right now the coilovers are set at their lowest possible setting but it's still not as harsh to me as my 04 SRT-4 was with tein s-tech&tokico hp's for comparison. I like the adjustability of the coilovers like say if you we're to drag your car you could adjust the rear height for big slicks etc or if you show your car you can have it near normal ride height for everyday use and then slam it at shows. That being said I agree for most just buy springs&shocks and be done with it
edit my bmr springs with tokico HP shocks&frp upper strut mounts are for sale asking $400+shipping on the car less than 2000 miles replaced with H&R coilovers w/Steeda heavy duty camber plates on 9/7/08 PM if interested
