Default 2005 MUSTANG and TALL PEOPLE

I love the car , I would sell a kidney to buy it , but ...........

I'm 6'4" , or 194-195cm in metric measurements. How could I ever fit comfortably in the driver's seat of a brand new Ford Mustang coupe or convertible ?????? Do you have any idea - plz tell me

A real detailed review of the latest mustang said that the "human ban" was raised from previous mustangs' 5'6" limit to 5'10", and that is unfortunately nowhere near 6'4".

NO ! I don't want a damned SUV or a Honda, or an Accura, or any other such suggestions. I wanted to buy the BMW M5 500hp, 0-60mph in 4.6 seconds, 330km/h top speed luxury supersport sedan BUT I just love the Mustang. It's as simple as that. Yet the problem I really don't think I have a chance to drive comfortably in that car [:@]

Any really tall Mustang owner around here which could maybe give me my hope back ?!?!

This subject was covered thoroughly in the last few days in a post called "front seat room" or something like that. There are several of us over six feet and none of us are having any problems at all. There were a couple of guys who are 6'-4" and they are quite happy with the space in the cockpit. Check out the past post.

It comes down to this...

You have to take a test drive to know for sure if it's the car for you.

I am 6'5" tall and don't have any problems when the seat is all the way down. I don't need it all the way back either to have enough leg room.

FYI.

Thanks !

Well I guess if GWFoos fits ok in the new Mustang , so do I - problem solved.

I went through a lot of cars before getting to the Mustang. I especially loved the BMW M3, Z4 and M5 [though mega expensive] 's SMG gearbox with steering wheel shifting paddles, but I guess clutchless automatic is the same thing almost .....

I have driven the M3, the Z4, CLK500, the '05 Corvette, etc. before coming to the Mustang. I fit in them all, but not as comfortably as the Mustang. Of course the price difference is enormous. I had the money to get the above, but didn't because I think that the Mustang has more of what I wanted than any of those cars. I am about equal top and bottom halves and feel comfortable in the car. Getting in and out is the only thing as it is longer to go from 6.5ft to a sports car than to an SUV, which I had previously.

I say find one, drive it, pick your color, and order the '06.

Hope this helps.

well professor - there are all these ppl 6'4" and 6'5" that seem to fit in the 04-05 mustang and ......... you don't ?? odd ....

Just one more thing - does the convertible have more or less space ? Or is it just the same - I'd love a convertible but I dunno how great it is for winter temperatures and other such stuff.....
