I love the look of your car Don. You guys are making it really difficult for me to hold out until the 06 comes out. Another question regarding the tires. I see alot of yall going with the Nitto tires. Just curious what makes them a better tire than the other popular brands on the market.

Thanks, Lawman. My decision on the tires was based on the sizes available. I was looking for fatter, taller tires, with plenty of sidewall (for both performance and "muscle car" looks reasons). Eventually, I settled on 275/50s and 255/50s (with the 17x9 chrome Bullitts). After researching many, many brands and websites, I found only two manufacturers who made these exact sizes (Nitto & Falken). The Falken tires were about $10 more, and they only have a speed rating of HR (Nittos are VR). Thus, Nitto on my car.

Don_w is the speedo still accurate with the larger tires, or are they the same diameter as stock?

The tires are slightly less than 3/4" taller than stock, so it has to be off ever so slightly. I figured it's about 2% off now. But, I plan on changing the rear gears fairly soon, and I'll recalibrate everything then... so for now, I can deal with a 2% error.

By the way, after we cleaned up the tires (and made them "black"), it looks even better... especially in the full daylight. When I get a chance, I'll get a couple pics in brighter lighting and a nicer location.
