Default Spark plugs and dealers are fuc*ing idiots

So i did the plug swap today to Champions.

Took me an hour total. Got all 8 out after a bit of struggling and swearing.

Background story, 5 months ago, I had a new cylinder head installed by the dealership.
3 months ago, i had ALL the plugs pulled for a compression test because of a lumpy idle.

So i knew 3 months ago, all the plugs had been pulled by the dealer, and swapping them myself couldn't have been that hard.

Dealer had said their mechanic followed the TSB = no broken plugs for them.

On average, it should have taken 25-33 ft lbs to break the plugs loose.

How, in the blue hell, can it take ~ 68 foot pounds to break 7 of the 8 plugs loose?

I am absolutely speechless.

I did it at room temperature, engine cold, used Gunk super penetrant ( local stores dont store PB blaster / aerokoil, didn't bother going to Ford for carb cleaner )

The plugs in the new cylinder head were nice and clean.
Drivers side was pretty dirty with carbon build up.

I'm just happy I got the plugs out w/o any problems.

Plugs have 30,655 km's on them.

It's just a standard 9/16" spark plug socket (with rubber insert). I know AutoZone carries them because that's where I got mine.

to the original poster, is your car stock. Some of your plugs looked extremely rich looking. However that could be the norm for a factory tune, i wouldnt know

are those plugs in the pic the order of which they were pulled, that would explain a lumpy idle. 4 of those plugs dont look healthy, the other four look ok. If you care is stock, i would check the new plugs in a month, if you put enough miles on the car, and see if they do the same thing. That doesnt look right
