One of my friends, coworkers has like a 69 Mustang...I think she said it has a 380 in it, maybe supercharged. How much faster would that car be than mine..in the 1/4 mile. My best run so far is a 13.6. Thanks

I doubt it's blown. The older blowers required you to remove ir cut a hole in the hood for the top end to fit. It's probably a plain jane 390. If so, the stock S197 mustang is faster, much faster. If memory serves me, the stock 390 in a mustang was some where in th 0-60, 7.4 second range, 15.6 quarter mile time. The plus side to his car would be the monsterous tourqe.

Gotta be a 390, or maybe even a 351, but there is no Ford 380...... When you look at the times those "classic" cars turned, it's a wonder they could get off the line at all--check out those skinny bias belted tires! Holy cow! My 07 has more rubber meeting the road on 1 tire than most of them had on all 4!
