2005 Mustang Face Lift
Well I was approaching the 36,000 mile mark on my 05 and was pondering trading for a newer ride with some of the deals out there and I finally decided to revamp a little and keep my Stang. I had already done a few mods to it but I really wanted to "set it off" by doing something simple that would look good for a long time and looked like some of the Stangs from the 60s.
I had blue tape stripes on it and a GT500 spoiler and a different grille. I was already running a hurst shifter, SCT 93 oct tune, BBK CAI, and flowmaster ATs.
So I decided my tape stripes were too light of a blue so I went with Vista Blue painted stripes and rocker stripes. I like the look of the older stang so I went with the Billett grille inlay and actually put it over a 3D carbon eleanor grille which worked great and there is no botched stock GT grille underneath it. I dont't like the look of the Shelby GT's hood scoop so I picked up a stock Ford one and went with it. I found some really nice 18" chrome bullitts on Craig's list locally with BFGoodrichs on them for $660.00. I thought that was a great price. So after a few long days of pulling tape stripe off, drilling for the scoop, cleaning rims and taking my GT500 spoiler off (which by the way, sucked) this baby was off to the body shop to have the stripes paited and my spoiler holes filled.
I also replaced the fuel filter, gas cap, and throttle body.
I honestly think this is the way the Shelby GTs should have come off the line. Enjoy...Let me know what you think.

Those stripes look awesome.
I like what you have done, but IMO a few more things would finish it. Painting the side mirrors white, installing a set of lowering springs, and cutting that fishing pole . Also looking at the pic. of the side of your car, I actually think it needs the GT500 Spoiler to finish it. The spoiler would compliment the hood scoop nicely.
