The backseat is pretty cramped but if they are under 6' they shouldn't mind. My 6'4" friend sat in the backseat once, and he had a headache from hitting his head on the back window over every bump haha.

I drive with the seat all the way back so when I have a passenger behind me I ask the smallest person to sit there. But I have been a passenger in the back seat and its very comfortable... you aren't going to move around much but its OK for a couple hours.

Why don't you go to a Ford dealer and sit in the back and see for yourself what its like. Take a friend and adjust the seat to your liking and see if the friend is OK with the back seat. If he's not, get a new friend.

^ Funny! Kids only for any distance, but in a pinch who cares.

As my friends have said, it's not so bad once your legs go numb. Haha!

I don't agree with alot of these posts.

I'm 16 and I have some tall friends. My 6' 4" friend complains a little...

Still, once everybody gets in and settled, it's all good.

And I always have a full car when we are going somewhere. No matter if someone has an empty ride I will still be full. I guess it's the cool factor. Just punch it to the limit once you get going and everyone will stop complaining, I promise.

I would go for the Stang. It's an awesome ride. Oh, and +1 to the comment above about "if they don't like it, get a new friend."

It won't be a problem. I'm 5' 8" and I can ride back there for hours with no problem. I've always thought it was pretty comfy, all molded and stuff.

JMO...

I truly believe the back seats are only there for you to lean on while cleaning the back window. Of course I am not a teenager, so asking any of my friends to contort themselves to sit back there would be met with hysterical fits of laughter. No one has ever sat in the back seat of my car yet. This is a "shotgun" ride only! I am sure your friends will enjoy riding back there anyway as the car is just cool. But, be careful, carloads of teenagers are never a good thing.

im very short person and i find it INCREDIBLY difficult to stay comfortable in the back seat for any length of time.

its just like the orignal mustangs where the rear seats were practically just for a quick hop to town, not comfortable for much else
