Go lt's, promise you won't regret it

The engine sounds like a 2v the only thing is in the muffler type and most of all the placement. The midpipe system by Pypes should make the car very similar in sound to the 2v's plus add a prochamber or a catted H and you got yourself a mean setup.

I got the Steedas which I love but I'm going to have to get a better midpipe. I was contemplating an SLP modular catted X that can be fitted to LT's when I get the money for them. Anyone have experience with this setup or at least the midpipe? Thanks.

My fiancee actually plugs her ears when I'm accelerating through that band of drone, the frequency hurts her ears.
Yep, the heads on this car have a straight shot down the intake and straight shot out the exhaust port. Extremely efficient, like motorcycle heads. They (along with the redesigned intake) were responsible for the 40 hp improvement over 2V. Screams like a biatch once it starts moving through the powerband 3k+. I've had an off-road pipe for about 6 months and got really tired of the high-pitched scream (no matter what throttle I'd give, everyone from moms in minivans to guys in trucks were trying to race me when I just wasn't in the mood..). Just went back to my catted pipe (w/ the longtube headers) and it's pure joy. Still feels like it has the same power but smoooooth exhaust note.

I do miss blipping the throttle and scaring people with that high-pitched WRANK though. doesn't do that anymore... just a roar like an LS1 car.

Agreed. LT's add something to the exhaust note whether you have an off-road mid-pipe or not. Definitely a more high-performance sound. Well worth the money IMO.
