Default Cleaning the air filter?

How often should you clean the air filter(JLT)? Yesterday at the track my mph was down in the 104s and low 105s and Ive got the mods and have trapped in the 106s. So I was thinking that since I have about 18K miles on my air filter it could of been hurting me a little bit. The temp was in the high 80s, low 90s so that could of also been the factor.

Also do you guys think that running without mufflers would hurt my back pressure and cause me to trap lower? I couldnt break the 12s b/c of my mph all though Im sure if I would of launched at 6K I could of done it.

I would say there is many factors in which times could be slower but could it really hurt to give it a good cleaning...

I have 2 filters that I clean and rotate that way I have no down time waiting for anything to dry. This also allows me to change as often as I want. I change mine every 4 months.
