Well, my supercharger aspirations have been put on an indefinite hold, so I'll be picking up the Hot Rod cams before the end of the year. This said, I have a few questions about what I'll need for a smooth install. I know I'll need to pick up some special tools - can anybody point me in the right direction as to what exactly these are? Also, anything else I'll need for the install?

I have also been thinking about the CMCV delete plates. I've heard this mod is beneficial for cam changes, but I'm a little leery about all the stories of losing bottom end torque with these. Is this a worthwhile mod to go along with the Hot Rod cams? If so, does anybody know where the FRPP ones are still available? I’m aware of the Steeda situation, but I’d rather not spend the extra money on the Steeda’s if at all possible. Thanks!

in the 4.6 v8 section that lists the tools.

Yep, hammeron is THE man. He made a write up that tells you everything you need to know. I will be printing his write up out when I do mine (although I won't be doing it alone).

Yup, I skimmed through the thread earlier today at work. I didn't know it listed the tools, I'll go back and check that out.

Anybody have an opinion on the CMCV delete plates? Worthwhile mod or not?
