What about your upper strut mounts. Does the front end make a thunk over driveway lips or man hole covers?

I have the same holes in my carpet for the same reason.

Do you know if the new carpet will be any better for wear?

Already did that myself when I put in the dspecs/pro kit. Got the revised mounts from ford in the box, no charge. Helps knowing the parts guys. He just wrote it up and gave a tech there the hours for repair, and gave me the parts.

Just called the dealer and made an appointment. They are going to have to verify the problem exists before doing the TSB. Should be pretty easy. The car doesn't make the thunk over speed bumps. But it seems to do it reliably going into my driveway and also across any small dip/valley rough spots on pavement.

It's good that you took it in for service.

My warranty ended two weeks ago. On the last day of coverage I took it in to get checked. They fixed my seatbelt cover, which had broken off, and did a recall on I believe something with the seatbelts. I forgot to bother them about the rattle in the dash at slow RPMs, I get that too when the engine is cold and I'm idling. Looks like they took good care of you, though. I should have asked also to make sure all the TSBs were taken care of. The paperwork doesn't say they were, but hopefully they did.

I pulled up all the TSB's here at work, I think I got them covered. I could have noted about the skipper 500, but that doesn't happen hardly ever, once in a blue moon. Less for them to screw up. And eventually I'd like to replace the head unit all together.

Are you sure it says "pcm" and not "rcm"? If they did not reflash the "rcm" then they did NOT fix the problem. Most likly tech just typed it wrong if it says "pcm"
