I found a cheap used intake for 100 bucks. Are the BBK intakes anygood? Do they need a tune or can you just run them without a tune? Or is it better to get a tune from doug at bamachips? Any info much appreciated. Jord

Ive heard pretty good things about the BBK. Im pretty sure you need a tune with it though.

I honestly would go with BAMA, youll get what you pay for.

its a great cai, you dont need a tune with bbk, but you will gain more power with one but you dont need it like some of the other out there

I found it on craigslist. I think i'll buy it, if i don't like it i'm sure i can get at least what i paid for it. I do have a diabloport predator, but diablosport does not have BBK as a canned tune, so would doug just be able to send me a tune for this BBK do you think?

yea he can send you a tune i know alot of ppl with a tune and the bbk and they love it you wont be disapointed

I like my BBK looks great.
I got a CEL without a tune and had to switch to 89 to keep it off.
I will be getting a BAMA tune shortly.

Definately get a custom tune. The canned tunes from Diablo suck compared to Doug's or Brent's tunes. I'd put money on a CEL if you run it w/o a tune. Doug does support the Predator and he writes great tunes. CAI w/o a tune may net you about 5 RWHP. CAI & tune will net you about 15-25.

Yup I am running my BBK with a 93 race tune... love it.... just pay the extra 50 and get one written for ya from doug... or 3 tunes for 100 or something like that...
