302 Block

302 Block
Hey I was looking at buying headers for my 07 GT. I was also going to upgrade my block to the 302 in the coming year. I was wondering if the 4.6 3v headers will bolt up to a 302 block, or am I bettering off waiting and getting special headers with block? Can someone with a 302 give some insight please?

Yeah, we need more info budd...
If you go with the old push rod mill, don't bother with the 302.
Get a stroked 351 in there, like 392 or 427 even (not cheap though, but 600+hp NA).
If you stroke the 4.6, used forged internals with low compression ratio...
That way, you'll be ready for more serious FI HP if you decide to do so.

are you talking about the boss 302 modular block? if so then everything will bolt up, the block is just a little bigger...I am looking to get the dss big bore boss that is stroked and bored to 323 cu. in.....they were the ones who told me everthing will bolt up..

Yeah, I was talking about the boss 302 modular block. I was thinking about getting one and doing a bore and stroke. But since you guys talked about DSS racing, it sure made my job a lot easier.
One more question. Lets say I get the block and have internals with a lower compression ratio. Will there be a noticeable difference between the lower c/r and a higher c/r while I am not running a supercharger? (I will buy a supercharger eventually)
