I've been wanting to get an intake/tune package just about as bad as any other new S197 guy or gal out there. Problem is, I can't **** out the $600+ bux for a while. I see a lot of guys selling the Xcal2's here and thought about picking up a used one. Then either going with a new Steeda or finding a slightly used one. A Bren/Bama tune is a tune, regardless of what tuner it's on, right?

people say bama is better for auto and brenspeed is better for manual. or is it the other way around?

Thanks for the info, but not quite what I was asking. As far as the Xcal 2 and Xcal 3, there shouldn't be a difference in the two with a custom tune, right? C'mon I know someone out there knows the answer.

Broken Down:

Xcal 2 + Bren/Bama Tune = Xcal 3 + Bren/Bama Tune?

Any difference or reason why I should spend the extra cash on a Xcal 3 when it would be cheaper and the same exact thing going with the Xcal 2???

I'm not sure of the differences between the II vs. the III but you can go to the SCT website and research it. I'd be very careful buying used. Lot's of horror stories about guys getting used tuners that aren't unlocked or have maxed out on the # of vehicles they can be used on.
