Finally put 10" at the back.
I installed my rear wheels today at the back end.
I had 20x8.5 all the way around for 2 years now and I realize it was a mistake as soon as I got them. Stupid me!
I just got 2 rims from American Muscle.
They're Bullit style, 20x10 with a 48mm offset
I put a Yokohama S. drive tire, 285/30x20.
Fits fine in the back, plenty of room...
I first put them up front to see if it would clear, but they rub against the frame rail side (see pic) at the very end of the steering range, from side to side.
I'm sure a 1/8 spacer would correct that, it's so close...
It did clear the traveling range of the springs with the wheels turned (all the way) on a steep bump, so that's good.
For those of you like myself (and it's the reason of that thread), that want to have the same size wheels up front, it shows that it's easier said than done.
Only a few rims that size will allow it...
My car needs an alignment baaad, but I have to ovalize the upper strut hole outward so it can be aligned. I'll do that this week... I'll still try to fit those up front though.
Anyway, it looks a lot less whimpy now

Thanks MELLOW.
I waited until the tires were shot to replace them with the new rims...
It took 32K miles with a few sideways lol.
06elnr, I want the 10s up front too.
I'll work something up.
And Leo, I cleaned them with a SOS pad lol.
Smarty pants!

Congrats Pascal, I also have 8.5's in the front & 10's in the rear. I made sure of this, that is also why I did not get the razors, because they do not make them in 10's.
Just out of curiosity, why do you want the 10's in the front as well?
