Hell yes, engine is an air pump, the more you can get into then out of the engine the more power it makes. If you can afford good headers they will work with the cams very nicely.

I know where you can buy Vortech V2-SQ (the one viking has) for 3500 with tax included, but you have to pick it up here in Cali or have someone else pay cash in person and have the guy ship it to you. With cams you're looking at 900, but don't forget that if you're not doing installation it's 600 more which is 1500 total. With Vortech it's 3500+1000 to install. 120hp for 4500 vs. 30hp for 1500.

So for the S/C at the prices above its about 37.5 dollars for each HP gained from the S/C and 50 bucks for each HP gained from the CAMS (based on above only)....now factor in college and the expenses I would still go with the CAMs if you want instant gratification or be patient and save and get more for your buck in a year or 2 or 3..... Honestly it depends on what YOU want.

If you want absolute power, I would go with a blower, there is no comparison.

If you want a really fun street car I would do the following; FRPP Hot Rod Cams, LT's, C&L Heads (when they come out), and C&L Intake (when it comes out).

Should be a stong 350-400 rwhp with a good tune and would sound sick. If you track the car a 100 shot of nitrous would be perfect.

Honestly if all the parts I mentioned above were out when I bought the car that is how I would have gone.

I love my blower and it was the best choice at the time, but hindsight is 20/20.

Whenever I become independantly wealthy I will get a bullit and mod like the above, that would be sweet.

Keep in mind, the 5-6k to get the the SCer is just the beginning. Then there's the dyno tune, the guages, the new clutch and since you've got the tranny open you might as well get a lightweight flywheel in there. Next thing you know it's 10K+. This is why I probably will stick with N/A, FI costs increase quickly especially if you engine goes "pop"

The cams you're getting won't affect your brakes. Even if you ever went up to bigger cams and did have a brake problem, all you have to do is add a vacuum reservoir.
