Changing the oil and....
first question is it difficult?
second should i stick with motorcraft or go for royal purple (or other brand please be specific)
how do i keep my warranty and change my oil.... what is proof tht i actually changed it?
receipts?
oh and does anyone know of a good place i could buy a royal purple/motorcraft oil change kit?(oil, filter, cone to pour oil into)
thirds a doozie....
now i posted a question about my car beating me up in terms of suspension
should i invest in tokico shocks and struts? (non-adjustible? perhaps a different brand?)
or will a bumpsteer kit do the job? please help!!
i would also love to install them myself (how dangerous? realistic am i being?)
so far i've only installed a CAI+tune
any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!
thanks in advance!!

Seriously?
It's very easy.
Remember though, getting the oil in is only half the job, the second half.
You're going to need to drain the old oil in a catch can, after you lift the car to get under there.
And then you have to get rid of the old oil. It has to be recycled. Most auto parts stores will take it for free.

its easy to do, and unless you have a built motor or auto-x, or road course race a lot motorcraft or syn blend equivalent with a motorcraft oil filter will be completely fine for you. any autozone should have it.

I'll answer a couple of questions. Changing your own oil is the only way to go and very easy on these cars. The filter is easy to get to, and you only need to jack up the front end a bit to get underneath it enough to change. I run the Motorcraft 5w20 semi-synthetic along with WalMart brand filters and store my old oil in a 5 gallon container (gas can) until it's full, and then I take it to AutoZone. It saves me a ton of money, and I know the job is done right.
For my warranty I copy the receipt to plain copy paper (the originals fade after time) and write what I've done along with the date and miles and keep them in an envelope.
Easy enough...

Theres been a million threads about this already. If you want more info/opinions, just go back several months and you will find everything everybody knows/thinks they know.
Also, if you are going to be doing some work yourself, dont cheap out (ie, Walmart jack & stand special for $25). Spend the money for some GOOD stands and floor jack.

It's so easy a caveman could do it. Seriously if it's something new for you then go to the TACOBILLS how section in the begining of these forums, where he shows it to you step by step.
