im guessing you have a tuner of some kind, well in mine i am set up to adjust all my stuff in the tuner and what i found out is that there are two rev limiters in the tuners
a drive and a neutral. so i tried it, works just like a two-step, so if you afraid of the 6k launch use the tuner to back off the rpms at the launch.

Does the PCM not drop the spark as well as the fuel to the cylinders
in a strategic pattern to prevent lean conditions at the rev limiter RPMs?

That doesn't seem to work with my manual. You have to cut the cruise control cut off wire on the clutch for that to work. Again, this cuts fuel, not spark.

It cuts fuel. This is why it's important to not hit the rev limiter with forced induction.

I cant wait to go to the track with some nice cold weather
I launched at 5500 last time I was at the track. Does your car bounce alot when you launch this high?

If you go to the 9:00 mark the White GT is me launching at 5500rpms. Watch my car bounce back and forth

I will be getting 315/35/17 555 DR's soon. I was also curious about launching this high. I have upgraded LCA's and lowered as well. My question is for those launching that high on drag radials, How long do you warm up your tires for it to stick good around 5k launch?

Line locks here. Using the PMP/Jegs kit. Do a 5-10 second burn in 2nd. No matter the tire pressure or length of burnout, I usually don't hook up well the first pass of the night on MTs. But after that, sticks like glue.
