Default Little whine noise

I have noticed a little whine when I let off the gas. Once I put my foot on the gas it goes away. Is this the trans or rear end? Is it something that I need to really be worried about?

Curious....have you had any work done to your gears?

During deceleration is when my gear whine in noticeable......when I give it the gas, I can't hear it.

i'm pretty sure there is a tsb on this, but if you're out of warranty, you're probably out of luck

Factory gears?
Its normal of some sorts.
Depends on what gear you are in,
auto or manual and the speed at which it happens.

I am still stock as far as I know, bought it used. I don't think anything has been done to the car until I got it . It is an auto as well. I checked the TSB and sounds to me like its more of a cover up, it just dampens the sounds if I understood it correctly. Sounds to me like its no big deal then....so I'll just ignore it, its not that loud anyway, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a big deal.....Thanks for the input
