Will the shaker trim ring cover the holes on the 08 gt with the factory hood scoop? I looked at my hoodliner today and the bolts appear to be inside the cutout area. CDC states that the shaker will not fit the 2007 gt with the factory hood scoop as below. I was just wondering if ford decided to change the factory scoop mounting points because of this in the 08 models.



2005-8 SHAKER SYSTEM is now available. This Ram Air/Cold Air Package includes all the duct work to make it fully functional. The Shaker System includes an Engine dress up cover, Cast Aluminum Scoop and all the necessary hardware, instructions and templates. In addition CDC has engineered water management systems within the shaker ductwork. The CDC Shaker System uses the factory air box so Engine flashing is not necessary. The CDC Shaker System also comes standard with a High Flow/High Performance S&B Filter. The Shaker System will use your factory hood which has a factory stamping in the hood inner, which accommodates the shaker system installation process, while maintaining the integrity of the hood. No, they don't cover any holes...

Ask around here, you might find someone w/ a vapor w/o a scoop that you live close to that would be willing to trade straight up for, you might even be able to make a few bucks if they really wanted the scoop. I know it's something I would do if someone was looking for a scoopless hood in alloy near me.

my buddy installed the shaker on his factory hood that came with the scoop. The only holes that were exposed were 3 along the back of the hood scoop. He foundsome black rubber plugs at the parts store and plugged them. Doesnt look bad at all. I wouldnt let that stop you, good luck
