A V6er's perspective -- I do not regret my choice at all and I've had mine over a year now. I love my mustang The 4.0 has plenty of get-up and go for me.

As for having more performance parts for the GT vs sixer, I can't think of anything that can't be put on a V6 that goes on a GT. You can put dual exhaust(GT comes stock with), add superchargers, short throw shifters, change out rear end gear ratios all the same as a GT. All depends on your taste and checkbook!

The sixer is less expensive initial cost and lower on insurance rates and most get better mpg than GT's, however that is very dependant on your driving habits of either model.

It ultimately comes down to what you want, like and can afford. Good luck with your choice and post pictures when you do get one! We love pictures!!

From an economical standpoint, a V6 Stang has only minimal advantages over the V8. And the small advantage is overwhelmingly outwieghed by the amount of wood the GT provides as opposed to the splinter from the V6.

Definitely test drive both the V6 and the GT before you buy. And then decide if the added cost (and it will cost you more) of the GT is worth it to you; and believe me, smiles per mile is an important category to consider.

If you are serious about track performance, get a GT.
If you plan on treating it like your own child, get a GT.
If you are sensitive to what others think about you, get a GT.
