Default High RPM at start up?

I remember reading about this on this forum, but used search and can not find the thread, plus my question is slightly different from the previous one. Lately I strated noticing that the cold start up RPM on my Stang is slightly higher than it used to be before (even in cold weather). It never went up over 1300 on cold starts and now when you start the car it's at about about the same, but then within 3 seconds it goes up to 1500. Same thing with warm starts. I drove the car for about an hour today, parked to get a haircut, came out about 15 minutes later and when I fired it up, it was at about 700, but then within the same amount of time went up to 1000 and then went back down within 30-40 seconds or so. I wouldn't be as concerned about it, but this is something that never happened before. Is it something to be worried about?

Is your A/C or defroster turned on? On older vehicles, the idle would kick up when the compressor would engage. I don't think I ever took notice with the Stang...

Mine does it too... Never considered it to be anything wrong... I kinda start out a little messed up in the morning too so I can't complain if my car does....
