i've got a friend with a really well done MkIV GLi and he bought some color-match painted corners. they're awesome! they blend perfectly into the body. you can't even tell it's a light, but then somehow the blinker shows through just fine. i guess it's just lightly painted or something.

my question is, why the hell doesn't someone make these to replace our rear quarter panel marker lamps? i hate them, they're just... there. and nothing you do hides them. if somebody made these, they would blend right in and you wouldn't know they were there till you turned on your turn signal.

anyways... just a thought. i can't remember the site he ordered them from or else i'd post pics.

i have no idea. all i know is that it looks EXACTLY like the body panels, yet still shines through perfectly... it's so confusing. i really want to figure out how they do it and get mine done.

you mix the factory color with clear, my tails are done....

I mixed 1 part base paint to 10 parts clear and lightly dusted 3 coats and then 2 coats of clear, you can see the lights just fine through the paint...
